Inspired by the artistry of Patzún, the Josefina Pouch utilizes a cross-stitch technique that is traditionally used to embroider symbols from the Mayan Calendar onto huipiles, or traditional garments, of Mayan women.
Using polished thread, artisans embroider for two days to produce each pouch. The end result is modern, but ancient; unique as the community where it finds its roots.
Features a zipped opening, leather tassel, Italian full leather back and antique brass zipper.
