Gift Idea: Tea Towel Wrapped Treats
My girlfriends threw me a surprise baby "Sprinkle" this past Summer (a Sprinkle is a less elaborate version of a baby shower - it's typically thrown to honor a second or third baby). To show my appreciation, I made these parcels of homemade scones. I baked a batch of my favorite and easy to make scones recipe and used tea towels to wrap them up.
Tip: I find that wrapping the scones in parchment paper first, makes it a lot easier to get a nice clean wrap with the tea towel.
It's a simple gift idea, perfect for any occasion - including the holidays! I just love the idea of being able to reuse the packaging for gifts and including a handwritten copy of the recipe (or the recipe that inspired the gift) is a nice touch!
What you'll need:
- Tea Towels (click here to see our favorite Tea Towels)
- Recipe Cards (Charcoal Recipe Cards by Rifle Paper Co.)

Another simple gift option:
Wrap up a recipe book with a kitchen towel and use a wooden spoon or spatula as a gift topper for another simple and thoughtful gift.
