Golden Milk Latte

 

We could all use a boost of immunity and a cup of comfort in our lives right now.  Golden Milk’s shining ingredient is turmeric, which contains curcumin, an antioxidant that is anti-inflammatory. Stress=Inflammation. This delicious and bold drink can help sooth that.  I'm sharing my fave recipe from @heynutritionlady. I've been sipping on these before bed with a book in hand. RECIPE: Golden Milk Latte (mix makes 24 servings)

Turmeric Latte Mix

5 Tablespoons ground turmeric
3 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Turmeric Latte
1 1/2 cups milk of choice I like oat milk
1 teaspoon turmeric latte mix
1 teaspoon honey or other liquid sweetener


To Make Turmeric Latte Mix
1) In a bowl combine turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and black pepper. Whisk to combine. Transfer to a glass jar with a lid.

To Make a Turmeric Latte
1) Place a splash of the milk and 1 teaspoon of turmeric latte mix in a small pot. Whisk to combine.
2) Add the remaining milk, whisk to combine, and heat over medium-high heat until steaming.
3) Carefully pour into a mug, add sweetener of choice, and enjoy!
