Join Kels on November 30th at the MEUS Mezzanine from 7-9pm to explore how paper can be one hell of a versatile material that can translate organic shapes abstractly, realistically or however the hell you want. She just wants you to enjoy creating with company.
In this class you will learn:
- Collage techniques
- Folding techniques
- Different types of paper
- How to create paper flowers/botanicals

Kels Savage, LMSW (she/her/hers) is a community-based art worker that has found fulfillment first and foremost in assisting creativity but also enjoys making stuff. Kels is a social worker and community organizer that has mainly worked with the LGBTQIA+ community with a focus on teens and incarcerated folx. She likes to think of herself as a Professional Queer. Someone once told her that Kels could be an acronym for Keep Everyone Loving Someone and that's a pretty good way to put it.

As previously mentioned, Kels enjoys making stuff and has a particular penchant for paper as a medium. This includes, but is not limited to, collage, wheatpaste graffiti, stop animation, pop-up books, and relief cutouts.
